Series Information
The Texans lead the all-time series 22-10 after downing the Aggies 76-52 in Stephenville earlier this season. Tarleton had lost two straight to the Aggies, but Tarleton managed to snap the losing skid with a 24-point victory inside Wisdom Gym.

Tarleton is just 8-5 all-time when facing the Aggies at Aggie Gym in the Lonn Reisman era. Cameron downed the Texans in Lawton last season, but Tarleton has won four of previous six meetings when facing the Aggies on the road.

Last Time out for the Texans
Tarleton dropped its first game of the season with a 77-75 overtime loss to Midwestern State this past Wednesday in Stephenville. The loss snapped Tarleton's 18-game winning streak along with its 20-game home win streak as well.

The Mustangs led throughout the majority of the contest, but the Texans did manage to come all the way back after being down by as many as 11 points in the second half. Tarleton tied MSU 65-65 late in the second half and had a chance to win it in regulation, but the last shot was off the mark, sending the game into overtime.

Both teams traded baskets back-and-forth and the game was tied 75-75 at the 2:02 mark, but the two teams then went into a scoring drought until MSU's Monzaigo Williams hit a jumper with four seconds left to put the Mustangs on top 77-75. The Texans drew up a play out of a timeout, but the final shot was off, which sent the Texans to its first defeat of the season.

Scouting the Aggies
The Aggies had won five consecutive games before facing the Texans back on Jan. 18, but along with the 24-point loss to Tarleton, Cameron has dropped five straight heading into Saturday's contest in Lawton.

Cameron had a +2.6 scoring margin heading into the first game against the Texans, but since then the Aggies have been outscored by 10.2 points per game. Two of those contests were losses by just three points or less, and one of them went into overtime.

Last season's LSC Player of the Year and this season's Preseason Player of the Year, Craig Foster, is averaging 15.1 points per game - just a little more than a point less than he averaged last season, but the senior guard has made just 26 three-pointers and shooting less than 30 percent from beyond the arc compared to the 2012-13 season when he drained 66 shots from downtown and shot better than 37 percent.

Newcomer Will Cook leads the Aggies in scoring with 15.8 points per game. The senior guard also leads the team with 6.3 boards per game. Desmond Henry tops the squad with a 50.0 field goal percentage, while Foster leads the team with his 84 assists on the season.

Foster also leads the team defensively with 31 steals and Aaron Thompson is the Aggie leader with 15 blocks.

Cameron is shooting 44.2 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from beyond the arc. The Aggies are converting 69.8 percent of its attempts from the charity stripe.

Texans in the NABC Poll
The Tarleton State men's basketball team is ranked No. 2 in the nation for the first time since earning the same ranking back on Dec. 13, 2005

The Texans have been ranked inside the NABC Top-25 for 79 different weeks since making its first-ever appearance in the poll back on Dec. 17, 2002. Including this week, Tarleton has been ranked inside the top 10 for 47 different weeks and has been a top five team for 30 weeks.

Countdown to 550
With every Texan victory, head coach Lonn Reisman keeps nearing the 550 career wins mark. Reisman, who is in his 26th season at Tarleton, now has 548 career wins heading into this Saturday's contest against the Aggies and is just a pair of victories shy from earning his 550th career win. He would become just the 26th coach overall and ninth active NCAA Division II head coach to earn 550 wins. He would be the 83rd coach at both the D-1 and D-II levels to achieve the feat.

Reisman picked up victory No. 500 back on Jan. 21, 2012 when Tarleton defeated A&M-Commerce 78-53 in Stephenville.

WINNING Streaks Snapped
With Wednesday's loss to the Mustangs, the Texans snapped an 18-game winning streak along with a home winning streak that lasted for 20 consecutive games.

The Texans 18-0 start is the best start in school history since becoming a senior college in 1961, and the 18-game win streak was a school record as well.

Despite the loss, the Texans have faired well after snapping a win streak. Following its 17-game win streak in 2011-12, the Texans downed Arlington Baptist 77-54 in its next contest. After the 17-game win streak during the 1990-91 season, Tarleton defeated Sul Ross by 30 points, 81-51. Following the loss that snapped a school record 33-game home winning streak in 2007 the Texans defeated Angelo State 81-78.

Records Watch
The 2013-14 season has seen its share of school records broken already, but as the regular-season nears the end, there are plenty of other records to focus on that could be broken as well.

Records already broken include the best start to a season (18-0); longest winning streak (18 games); most consecutive games scoring 85 points or more (5); consecutive games streak of scoring at least 75 points or more (18); and most 100-point games in a season (4).

The Texans have scored 1,679 points so far in 2013-14. The school record for most points scored in a season is 2,528 points. Tarleton's 88.4 points per game is currently on pace to break the previous school record of 84.3 ppg set back in 1970-71.

The Texans are currently shooting .500 percent form the field on the year, while the school record is at .509. The fewest field goals made by opponents in a season is 540, while the Texans have given up just 415 field goals so far this season. Tarleton is shooting .401 from beyond the arc, just a few points off from the school record of .404.

Up next for the Texans
Tarleton will complete its two-game road swing in San Angelo next Wednesday, Feb. 12, when the team hits the road to face the Angelo State Rams. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Stephens Arena inside the Junell Center.
