LAST TIME OUT
The TexAnns headed north last weekend and pushed their winning streak to six in a row with wins over Midwestern State, Harding and Cameron. The weekend began Friday with a sweep over the Mustangs in Wichita Falls. Tarleton then turned around and rallied back from an 0-2 match deficit to stun Harding in a thrilling comeback. Saturday, Tarleton wrapped up the weekend by handling the Aggies in five sets. Hailey Roberts landed back-to-back kill shots with the final set tied at 14-14 to end the match for Tarleton.

TARLETON vs TEXAS WOMAN'S
The TexAnns and Pioneers have been squaring off against each other since 1978 and, despite trailing the all-time series 17-31, Tarleton has had the edge against Texas Woman's since 1998. The Pioneers won 18 of the first 20 meetings against Tarleton but on Oct. 24, 1998 in Stephenville, the TexAnns flipped the script. A 3-0 sweep of the Pioneers in 1998 was the beginning of the current stretch that has seen Tarleton win 15 of the last 28 meetings.

HOT START
Tarleton is off to an 8-1 start to the season, which is the second-best start through the first nine games in school history behind only the 9-0 start to the 2010 season. The current six-game winning streak is also the longest since Tarleton won nine straight down the stretch of the 2012 campaign.

COVELL ON THE ALL-TIME DIGS LIST
Senior Katie Covell recently passed Carie Key for fourth-place on the all-time digs list and enters Tuesday night's game with 1,170 digs in her career. She now sits behind only Sharon Lister (1,463), Emily Klein (1,656) and Shea McBrearty (1,847) in that category.

LEARNING FROM TEXANN GREATS
In addition to their coaching accolades, Mary Schindler and Jessie Hartman are also bringing Tarleton game experience to the team this season as both coaches are currently among the top players to ever suit up for the Purple and White. Schindler, a four-year letterwinner from 1999-02, is currently in the school's top-10 all-time in assists (1,891) and service aces (146) while assistant coach Jessie Hartman is the school's all-time leader in sets played, second all-time in assists with 3,266 and is one of two players in school history with 1,000 career assists and 1,000 career digs.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns have one more game this week and it will also be a home match Friday night when they welcome Texas A&M-Kingsville to town at 6 p.m.
