STEPHENVILLE – Fresh off a dominant sweep of Southeastern Oklahoma Tuesday night in Wisdom Gym, Tarleton State Volleyball will hit the road for back-to-back conference games against West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico.

GAME TIMES
Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. with the West Texas A&M set for Friday and the Eastern New Mexico match on Saturday. The ENMU contest will be free of charge for the fans in attendance on Homecoming weekend and will begin at 6 p.m. MST / 7 p.m. CST.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton State took a one-game hiatus from Lone Star Conference action Tuesday night when the TexAnns hosted Southeastern Oklahoma State. The TexAnns needed just over an hour to dispose of the Savage Storm in straight sets as Tarleton hit .407 as a team, led by a .629 hitting percentage from Kenya Alexander.
 
TARLETON vs WEST TEXAS A&M
Tarleton State has won two games over the past three seasons over the Lady Buffs, including a five-set thriller in Stephenville on Sept. 17, 2011 to snap West Texas A&M's 87-game conference winning streak which stretch from 2006-11. The next season, Tarleton earned another win to come from behind 0-2 in the match to knock off West Texas A&M in The Box for the first win in Canyon in school history.
 
TARLETON vs EASTERN NEW MEXICO
Tarleton and Eastern New Mexico have met 37 times in the school's history since the inaugural meeting in 1985 and the TexAnns have won 13, primarily since taking the momentum and dominating the series since 2005. After going 1-23 in the first 24 meetings, Tarleton State won a four-set match on Oct. 29, 2005, which was the beginning of a 12-win in the last 13 stretch for Tarleton.
 
SET NOTES
Since beating Arkansas-Fort Smith in the season opener, Tarleton State has not recorded a four-set match. They have played seven five-set matches and recorded four sweeps, including two straight.
 
ALEXANDER HOLDS ON TO NATIONAL BLOCKS LEAD
Kenya Alexander is still the national leader in blocks, despite playing the minimum six sets over the last two games. Alexander has 69 total blocks this season, which is 11 more than the No. 2 blocker.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will have a week off before resuming game action Oct. 3 and 4 against Angelo State and Newman, respectively.
