THE GAME
Tarleton State will take a one-game hiatus from Lone Star Conference action Wednesday night when the TexAnns host McMurry at 5:30 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.
THE BROADCAST
The game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the TexAnns, Keltin Wiens, will serve as the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive. The pregame show will begin 15 minutes prior to tip-off.
THE OPPONENT
McMurry has struggled in this transition season under interim head coach William Milton, winning just two in 19 games this season. The wins came against Adams State and Howard Payne, but the Warhawks are just 0-4 against LSC schools this season - falling twice to Angelo State and Texas A&M-Commerce.
ABOUT McMURRY'S TRANSITION
McMurry withdrew its membership bid into NCAA Division II on Jan. 31, 2014 and are currently competing as a Division III independent with sport-specific affiliations of track and field and football in the Lone Star Conference.
THE SERIES
Tarleton and McMurry have a rich history from when the teams competed against each other in TIAA District 8. This will be the 36th all-time meeting between the Warhawks and TexAnns, dating back to the first meeting in 1980, but just the second game since Tarleton became an NCAA member in 1994. Tarleton owns the all-time record 32-3 and have won the last 23 meetings against McMurry since Jan. 8, 1983. The TexAnns are also a perfect 14-0 against McMurry in Stephenville.

Tarleton State has won 23 straight games against McMurry, dating back to Jan. 8, 1983. That is the longest active win streak against an active NCAA-era opponent.
BATTLE OF FIRST YEAR COACHES
This is the first meeting of the season that matches first-year Tarleton coach,
Misty Wilson, against another coach in their first season at the helm (William Milton).
