AT A GLANCE
The conference season will begin in the same place the regular season started for Tarleton as the TexAnns return to San Angelo for the second time this month – this time to open Lone Star Conference action against Angelo State Wednesday at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton is coming off its third straight sweep, which came Monday night in Wisdom Gym against Texas Wesleyan. The TexAnns thrashed the Lady Rams by scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-15 in front of the Wisdom Gym faithful to improve to 8-2 on the season and win their third straight, all via sweep.

AN EPIC REMATCH
This will be the first meeting between Angelo State and Tarleton since November 15, 2014 when the TexAnns defeated the Rambelles in five sets to claim the school's first-ever Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship. Tarleton came from behind in the match 2-1 with wins of 25-19 and 15-11 in sets four and five, respectively, to claim the tournament championship in Canyon last season.

TARLETON vs ANGELO STATE
This will be the 41st meeting between the TexAnns and Rambelles since Tarleton joined the NCAA in 1994. Since the rivalry reached the NCAA level in 1994, Tarleton trails the series 26-14, but have won three of the last four meetings including the LSC Tournament Championship game last November.

RECEIVING VOTES FOR THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Tarleton and Angelo State are both receiving votes for the national top 25. The TexAnns have 10 votes while the Rambelles have 31 votes in the latest poll.

ROBERTS LEADING THE NATION
Hailey Roberts is having an incredible start to the 2015 season, which has her at the top of the national leaderboards. The sophomore from Cedar Park currently leads the nation in total kills (205), kills per set (6.21), and points per set (6.86).

LSC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
For the second straight week, Tarleton has garnered two of the three conference weekly honors. Roberts earned her second straight player of the week award for offense while Chandler Gow received her first career LSC Setter of the Week award after dishing out 253 assists in five games last week.

TARLETON IN LSC OPENERS
Since Mary Schindler took over the program in 2005, Tarleton has a tradition of starting out strong in Lone Star Conference openers. The TexAnns are 7-3 in the first conference game of the season in Schindler's tenure.

ROBERTS' DOUBLE-DIGIT KILL STREAK
With five more double-figure kill performances from Friday through Monday, Hailey Roberts pushed her current streak of at least 10 kills to 17 straight matches, dating back to November 1, 2014.

SCHINDLER'S COUNTDOWN TO 200
Mary Schindler, who is in her 11th season as the head coach of Tarleton, enters this game with 188 career wins as she moves closer to 200 all-time victories at the helm of the TexAnns. Schindler, who is the longest tenured coach in the history of the program, already owns the most wins by a coach in Tarleton history.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
After opening the season with 11 matches in 13 days, Tarleton will take a short break before continuing Lone Star Conference play against Texas Woman's on Tuesday, September 22 in Denton at 7 p.m.
