ORLANDO, Fla. – Tarleton put on a dominant performance Saturday afternoon to down Southwestern Minnesota State at Lake Crane Tennis Center in Orlando, Florida.

The afternoon started with a clean sweep in doubles play, beginning with an 8-0 sweep from the No. 3 tandem of
Shelby Fillingame and
Ellie Stevens.
Erika Richarme and
Ashleigh Elward improved to 8-0 in doubles play with an 8-2 win in the No. 2 match while
Luiza Ferraro-Adas and
Elena Preadca handled the No. 1 duties with an 8-1 win of their own.

In singles play, Tarleton switched its regular routine with Richarme handling the No. 1 match and Elward playing in the No. 2, but the results stayed the same as the Tarleton duo won 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-1, respectively.

Ferraro-Adas and Preadca swept their matches in the No. 3 and 4 matches with 6-0, 6-0 wins while Stevens won the No. 5 match 6-0, 6-1. Taylor Porter fell 1-6, 1-6 in the No. 6 match.

Tarleton will stay in Florida to begin Spring Break and return to action in a neutral site match against Ferris State tomorrow at 1 p.m.
