AT A GLANCE
The top three teams in the Lone Star Conference standings are on a collision course for Wisdom Gym this weekend as the No. 13 Tarleton TexAnns (18-4, 10-1 LSC) put their 11-match winning streak on the line against Texas Woman's (10-10, 7-4 LSC) Friday at 6 p.m. and then clash with Texas A&M-Commerce (14-7, 9-2 LSC) Saturday at 2 p.m. in a match with significant postseason implications.
 
WHAT'S AT STAKE
Tarleton will come into Friday's match with Texas Woman's looking to tie the school record for consecutive wins in a season (12), which has only been done once in TexAnn history (1991). Then, the No. 13 TexAnns will play host to Texas A&M-Commerce with hopes of putting some distance between them in the league standings. Tarleton comes into the weekend boasting a 1.0 game lead over the Lions in the standings and a 3.0 game lead over third-place Texas Woman's. The TexAnns fell to the Lions in Commerce earlier this season and the top team in the league standings at the end of the year will earn the right to host the Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament.

LAST TIME OUT
No. 13 Tarleton Volleyball swept its third straight match and extended its winning streak to 11 in a row with the sweep of Texas A&M-Kingsville (25-13, 25-15, 25-22) on Tuesday night. The TexAnns had a .379 hitting percentage in the match with 44 kills and just eight errors. Tarleton held Texas A&M-Kingsville to a .179 hitting percentage with 18 errors.
 
IN THE NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton Volleyball continues its run as a nationally-ranked team as the TexAnns enter the week as the No. 13 team in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, the highest ranking in school history. The TexAnns are the highest nationally ranked team in the Lone Star Conference, with Angelo State ranked No. 22. Tarleton's first national ranking came in the final poll of the 2016 season when the TexAnns debuted at No. 25. They have been ranked in every release since – opening the season at No. 25, moving to No. 17, No. 14, and No. 15 for the last three weeks.
 
CHASING HISTORY: THE DRIVE FOR 2405
Hailey Roberts enters the weekend with 2,177 career kills and is on the heels of the Lone Star Conference kills record, which has been held by Central Oklahoma's Alma Brahimaj since 2002. Brahimaj boasts 2,404 career kills during her 1999-02 tenure with the Bronchos.
 
SERIES HISTORY: TEXAS WOMAN'S
Friday night marks the 56^th all-time meeting between the TexAnns and Pioneers. Texas Woman's holds a 33-22 lead in the all-time series, which dates to 1978, but the series is even at 10-10 in Stephenville. Tarleton has won five straight over Texas Woman's since 2015, including a four-set win in Denton to open league play this year.
 
SERIES HISTORY: TEXAS A&M-COMMERCE
Tarleton and Texas A&M-Commerce will take the court in Wisdom Gym looking to break a 19-19 tie in the all-time series, which dates to 1984. The TexAnns boast an 11-4 record at home in the series including six straight home victories over the Lions since 2011. Tarleton fell to the Lions in Commerce earlier this season.
