AT A GLANCE
No. 11 Tarleton will look to keep the 14-game winning streak alive as they head to UT Permian Basin Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., then West Texas A&M Saturday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. for a pair of Lone Star Conference matches. The TexAnns have engraved their name into the record books, as they haven't dropped a match since mid-September and pushed their way atop the Lone Star Conference standings with a three-game lead over Texas A&M-Commerce.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton faced No. 21 Angelo State on Tuesday in an AVCA Top-25 showdown. The TexAnns won the match 25-22, 25-14, 25-17 and improved to 21-4 on the season and holds a three-game lead atop the Lone Star Conference standings at 13-1.
 
IN THE NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton Volleyball continues its run as a nationally-ranked team as the TexAnns enter the week as the No. 11 team in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, the highest ranking in school history. With the No. 11 ranking, the TexAnns topped this year's previous high of No. 13 set last week. Tarleton's first national ranking came in the final poll of the 2016 season when the TexAnns debuted at No. 25. They have been ranked in every release since opening the season at No. 25, moving to No. 17, then No. 14, and No. 15. The TexAnns are the highest ranked team in the Lone Star Conference with Angelo State coming in at No. 21.
 
CHASING HISTORY: THE DRIVE FOR 2405
Hailey Roberts enters the weekend with 2,228 career kills and is on the heels of the Lone Star Conference kills record, which has been held by Central Oklahoma's Alma Brahimaj since 2002. Brahimaj boasts 2,404 career kills during her 1999-02 tenure with the Broncos.
 
SERIES HISTORY: UT PERMIAN BASIN
Friday night marks the 13th all-time meeting between the TexAnns and Falcons. Tarleton leads the all-time series 7-5, which dates back to 2004. The TexAnns have won the last four meetings with the Falcons and have won the last two road meetings with UT Permian Basin.
 
SERIES HISTORY: WEST TEXAS A&M
Tarleton trails the all-time series with West Texas A&M 8-42, but the TexAnns have won the last six matches against the Lady Buffs, including a sweep earlier this season. Tarleton won their last contest in Canyon against WT 3-2 on Sept. 23, 2016.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will take their last road trip of the year next weekend to face Midwestern State on Friday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. and Cameron on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.
