NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton moved up two spots to No. 11 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. Tarleton is one of two Lone Star Conference schools in the top 25, joining Texas A&M-Commerce who is ranked 21^st. Tarleton has been ranked in every poll since the final ranking of the 2016 season, which is 25 consecutive weeks in the national spotlight.
 
ABOUT TARLETON
Tarleton enters the weekend leading the way in the Lone Star Conference standings with an 23-2 record overall and a 15-0 mark in the league. Tarleton is also among the national leaders in blocks per set (3.01) which ranks second in the nation and also the conference leader in hit percentage (.246). Adriana Darthuy leads the team with 255 kills while Hannah McManus, a two-time LSC Defensive Player of the Week, ranks second in the nation with 1.47 blocks per set. Blanca Izquierdo, also a two-time LSC Setter of the Week, is leading the team with 521 assists and Adrianna Knutson leads in digs with 397.
 
DIGGING FOR A MILESTONE
Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton's senior libero, is currently chasing down the all-time mark for digs at Tarleton State University. Knutson enters this week with 1,813 career digs and recently passed Emily Klein (1,656) for No. 2 in program history. She is 35 digs away from passing Shea McBrearty (1,847) for the all-time lead.
 
CRACKING THE TARLETON TOP 10
Hannah McManus is making her own history at Tarleton as the senior middle blocker enters the weeke having recently tied Nikki McNorton for fifth place on the all-time total blocks list with 360. She is also second all-time in assisted blocks with 299 having recently passed Kenya Alexander. McManus needs 36 assisted blocks to pass Marissa Galich (334) for first on the all-time list.
 
SERIES HISTORY: TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE
Tarleton and Texas A&M-Kingsville are meeting for the 52^nd time in program history since they first met in 1985. Tarleotn holds the series lead at 30-21 and has won the last four matches, including a 3-0 win at home back on Sept. 22. The TexAnns have won 13 of the last 14 matches against the Javelinas.
