VOLLEYBALL MATCH DAY: Sept. 25 vs. Dallas Baptist

No. 19 Tarleton hosts Dallas Baptist Tuesday night in Wisdom Gym

No. 19 Tarleton will host Dallas Baptist for a regional showdown on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Wisdom Volleyball Gym. The TexAnns are in the midst of a season-long 10-game win streak.

PROMOTIONS
Tuesday night will be 'Greek Night' in Wisdom Gym as Tarleton welcomes the Greek organizations to the match. The athletes will also participate in 'Hazing Prevention Week' by wearing green ribbons.
 
NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton moved up one spot to No. 19 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. Tarleton is one of two Lone Star Conference schools in the top 25, joining Texas A&M-Commerce who is tied for 21st. Tarleton has been ranked in every poll since the final ranking of the 2016 season, which is 21 consecutive weeks in the national spotlight.
 
ABOUT TARLETON
Tarleton enters the weekend leading the way in the Lone Star Conference standings with a 13-2 record overall and a 6-0 mark in the league. Tarleton ranks second in the nation in blocks per set (3.02) and the conference leader in hit percentage (.248). Adriana Darthuy leads the team with 166 kills while Hannah McManus, the defending two-time LSC Defensive Player of the Week, leads the team and conference with 1.39 blocks per set.
 
DIGGING FOR A MILESTONE
Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton's senior libero, is currently chasing down the all-time mark for digs at Tarleton State University. Knutson enters this weekend with 1,673 career digs and last weekend passed Emily Klein (1,656) for No. 2 in program history. She is 175 digs away from passing Shea McBrearty (1,847) for the all-time lead.
 
SERIES HISTORY: DALLAS BAPTIST
Tuesday will mark the 44th all-time meeting between Tarleton and Dallas Baptist since the first meeting back in 1982. The TexAnns hold the all-time series lead 37-6, including a perfect 15-0 record in Stephenville. Tarleton has won five straight matches against the Patriots.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will hit the road for a pair of LSC matches against Cameron and Midwestern State. The TexAnns will play the Aggies on Friday, Sept. 28 and the Mustangs on Saturday, Sept. 29.
