The Texans are coming off a 1-1 weekend with a 31-point win over Arlington Baptist.
Tarleton defeated the Patriots, 81-50, on Thursday.
Mackenzie Hailey led the Texans with 17 points.
Kandyn Faurie registered a new career high in scoring for the second straight game, posting 12 points. Freshman
Callie Boyles had her first career double-digit scoring game with 10 points on 4-4 shooting.
On Saturday, the Texans suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Texas Woman's 63-55 in overtime.
Alexa Hoy led the Texans with a career-high 17 points.
Marissa Escamilla came off the bench to record her first career double-double with 14 points and a team-leading 11 rebounds.
INSIDE THE SERIES: PITTSBURG STATE
The Texans and Gorillas last met in 2011, where Tarleton fell to Pittsburg State at the St. Mary's Tournament, 64-76. The Gorillas lead the all-time series 2-1. Pittsburg State enters the game 2-2 on the season.
