LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton wasted no time in sweeping Southeastern Oklahoma Tuesday night as the Texans landed kills at a .330 hit percentage and held the Savage Storm to mild breeze with an .037 mark.
 
Amber Strange and Lauren Kersey led the team with nine kills each. Kersey's team-leading nine kills came on a .643 hitting percentage and went alongside a team-high five blocks for the match.
 
NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton Volleyball received votes in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll. The Texans are one of three LSC teams in the poll, joining Angelo State (17) and Texas A&M-Commerce (RV).
 
THE OPPONENT: TEXAS A&M-INTERNATIONAL
The Texans and Dustdevils last met in September, where Tarleton swept TAMU on the road. The Texans lead the all-time series 6-1 and are undefeated at home, 2-0. The Dustdevils enter the match 5-16 on the season with a 0-6 mark in conference play.
 
THE OPPONENT: TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE
The Texans and Javelina last met in September, where TAMU defeated Tarleton in five sets on the road. The Texans lead the all-time series 31-22 and hold the advantage at home, 17-7. The Javelina enter the match 16-12 on the season with a 7-7 mark in conference play.
 
TEXAN VOLLEYBALL RANKED NINTH IN FIRST NCAA REGIONAL POLL
Tarleton Volleyball is ranked ninth in the first NCAA Division II South Central Regional rankings. The top eight teams in the regional rankings at the end of conference tournament championship weekend will advance to the NCAA Division II tournament.
 
The South Central region is comprised of the Lone Star Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
 
BRANNON NAMED LSC SETTER OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND TIME THIS SEASON
Kayla Brannon was named the Lone Star Conference Setter of the Week for the second time this season after the Texans went 2-0 on the road last weekend.
 
Brannon led Tarleton to a pair of road wins over UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico with 86 assists in seven sets for an average of 12.2 assists per set. The Texans hit .278 for the week as she recorded 43 assists in each match.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton hosts its' final home game of the regular season on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. versus Texas Woman's. Tarleton Athletics will celebrate Senior Night during Tuesday's match.
