Texan Football put on a spectacular display on Tarleton State Homecoming, routing Morehead State, 42-0, in front of another record-breaking crowd of just over 23,000 loud and rowdy fans. The Texans will face nationally-ranked number 18, Central Arkansas on the road on Saturday afternoon.

The Bill Brock Era begins on Tuesday, when women's basketball hosts McMurry for its first exhibition of the season. The only other Tarleton athletic event on campus this week is Monday night when the Texan volleyball team hosts Abilene Christian at 6 p.m. The first 150 fans will take home a free purple Tarleton rubber duck.

TARLETON STATE FOOTBALL returns to UAC play on the road at No. 18 Central Arkansas. The Purple and White will head to Conway, Arkansas, to take on the Bears at 4 p.m. at Estes Stadium. The Texans exploded for 42 points in front of another record crowd of just over 23,000 on Homecoming Saturday. Kayvon Britten turned in a 172-yard performance with a pair of rushing touchdowns in the 42-0 win over Morehead State. The Texans posted 28 first half points, their highest total of the season.

TEXAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL opens the 2023-24 campaign with a home exhibition match against NCAA Division III McMurry on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. The exhibition will mark new head coach Bill Brock's first game on the Texan bench. Featuring a newcomer-heavy roster, the Texans return three players from last year's squad: All-WAC Second Team selection, Teresa Da Silva, Elise Turrubiates and Tyler Jackson.

TEXAN VOLLEYBALL will play a three-match week beginning tonight at 6 p.m. against Abilene Christian in Wisdom Gym. The first 150 fans will receive a free purple plastic Tarleton-branded rubber duck on "Oscar Purple Night". The Texans will hit the road to end the week with a match at Seattle U on Thursday at 8 p.m. and on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. against Utah Valley.

TEXAN WOMEN'S GOLF will finish up their third tournament of the fall on Tuesday. The squad started the Diamante Invitational on Sunday in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. After the first round, Mathilde Brogens leads the charge tying for fourth overall. The Denmark native carded a three-under-par, 69, in the first round. Sofia Rodriguez finished with a one-over-par, 73, and tied for 31
st.

TEXAN MEN'S GOLF will travel for its first international match in Monterrey, Mexico. The Monterrey International Invitational will be hosted by George Washington at Club Campestre Monterrey. Last time out, the squad traveled to Corvallis, Oregon for the Oregon State Invitational. Carson Gallaher led the Texans shooting nine-over for 54-holes finishing in a tie for 31
st. Bladen Samaniego carded a career-best, one-under-par, 70, in the final round.

TEXAN CROSS COUNTRY will travel to Abilene Christian for the WAC Cross Country Championships on Friday. The Texans will compete in their fourth WAC Championships. Kevin Baez has ran in each of the previous three races. He has turned in a top-35 finish in each of his three previous attempts including a tenth-place finish as a sophomore in the spring of 2021 edition. On the women's side, Kailey Sykora turned in the top performance for the Texans at the event last season. Last time out, Baez finished in 27
th of 292 runners at the Chile Pepper Festival hosted by Arkansas. Sage Lancaster led the women with a 78
th place finish out of 297 runners.

TEXAN WOMEN'S TENNIS will also travel to Abilene Christian for their final event of the fall at the Wildcat Invitational running from Friday to Sunday. Two weekends ago, the Texans traveled to Waco for the ITA Regionals. Maretha Burger and Martha Makantasi highlighted the weekend as they reached the doubles consolation bracket semifinals. Emma Persson and Makantasi each reached the singles main draw round of 32.

The Mary Schindler Show takes place every Monday at the Barry B.
