Her 34 points mark the most by a Texan in their NCAA Division I era, besting Teresa Da Silva's 31 points scored last year. Long's 34 are the most by any Texan since Feb. 5, 2014, when Kiara Wright scored 35 at home vs. Midwestern State.
- Long is just the fifth player in the country this year with 34 or more points on 80 percent shooting or better in a game. Three actually accomplished the feat on Saturday, including Long.
- Lexi Bull recorded her first career double-double with 11 points (5-6 FG) and 15 rebounds off the bench. She's the second Texan with 15-plus boards in a game this year, joining Andjela Bigovic. This is the first time in at least the past 10 years that multiple Texans have secured 15-plus rebounds in a game in the same season.
- This is the third of three games in Louisiana for the Texans this month alone. They played at Northwestern State on Dec. 6 and at McNeese on Saturday. Tarleton is 1-1 in those games.
- Despite being 3-6, the Texans still have an average scoring margin of plus-4.9, averaging 67.3 PPG to their opponents' 62.4 PPG. They have a .437/.357 advantage in field goal percentage, .333/.271 in three-point percentage.
- Tarleton is third in the WAC in scoring defense this year, allowing 62.4 points per game. They force the second lowest opponent field goal percentage (.357) and the second lowest three-point percentage (.271) in the WAC.
