After a 3-1 overall start in WAC play, each Texan Basketball team is set to begin their second and final stretch of nonconference play.
Â
TEXAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL acquired their first WAC win of the Bill Brock Era over UTRGV last Saturday and look to keep that streak rolling. After rescheduling their original matchup, the Texans will be on the road in Natchitoches, LA to face Northwestern State at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Tarleton State will return to Wisdom Gym for their only home game during the month of December as they host Incarnate Word at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Similar to last week's men's basketball game against UTRGV, Santa and Mrs. Clause are stopping their sleigh in Stephenville again to attend the game. They will be accepting all new, unwrapped toys to give back to the Optimist Club, as one donation results in free admission for that fan. The preference is that fans bring a stuffed toy of any kind, as there will be a Teddy Bear Toss at halftime of the game, where fans can toss their toys on the court at a massive present for a chance to win a prize. All donations towards that will also go back to the Optimist Club here in Stephenville.
Â
TEXAN MEN'S BASKETBALL began conference play 2-0 after a Jakorie Smith buzzer beating three-pointer to top UTRGV and are currently on a four-game winning streak. The Texans resume play on Tuesday at 7 p.m. to host Hardin-Simmons in Wisdom Gym.
Â
TARLETON STATE INDOOR TRACK & FIELD returns this week as they head to Pittsburg, KS for two invitationals. They will compete in the Boo Rogers Multi Invitational on Friday and the Crimson and Gold Invitational on Saturday.
