QUICK HITS
  • This is Tarleton's final game. They've won their regular season finale three of the last four years.
  • With a win Tuesday, Tarleton would finish 7-7 at home, which would be their 20th straight season going .500+ inside Wisdom Gym (since 2002-03).
  • The Texans just barely fell against the WAC's top team, Southern Utah, 80-78 in OT on Saturday. It marked Tarleton's fourth OT game of the year, second straight at home, and third of their last four at Wisdom Gym. It's the Texans' most overtime games in a single-season since 2016-17.
  • Seattle U is 11th in the Seeding System, while Tarleton is 12th, ahead of Utah Valley. No. 11 SU is currently scheduled to play No. 6 UT Arlington in the first round of the WAC Tournament.
  • Tarleton has played well in first halves during this skid, leading at the break in five of their past nine games, averaging 28.4 points in first halves over the last nine to opponents' 27.4 points.
  • Tarleton is currently on a season-long skid of 12 games, their longest losing streak since a 21-game skid between the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons, in which they started 0-20 the latter year. The 1994-95 campaign was Tarleton's first NCAA year, playing in Division II. During the current 12-game skid, Tarleton has had seven single-digit losses, including two in OT and one in 2OT.
  • Defensively, Tarleton allows the sixth fewest points (67. 4 PPG). They just forced 20 turnovers compared to 12 giveaways against SUU, now fifth in the WAC in average TO margin (+2.0).
