Tarleton State Volleyball officially begins their action this week, starting Monday with a Block Party at Wisdom Volleyball Gym, then with regular season matches on Friday and Saturday for the Texan Invitational.

Tarleton State Women's Soccer will have a third straight home contest this week as they look to stay undefeated, then they'll play at Houston to end the week on Sunday.

Tarleton State University also has a special groundbreaking presentation planned on Tuesday to regarding the new event center.

TEXAN VOLLEYBALL returns to action with a Block Party beginning at 9 p.m. on Monday in Wisdom Volleyball Gym. After students conclude their Yell Contest on the basketball court, they can make their way over to the volleyball court to receive glow sticks and glow necklaces, meet the team and enjoy the show. The Texans will begin regular season action in Stephenville with the Texan Invitational on Friday and Saturday, which they went 3-0 in last fall, only dropping one set. They will begin against Prairie View A&M at 9:30 a.m. on Friday and wrap up the day at 7:30 p.m. against Northern Arizona. The Texans will hop back into action on Saturday against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 12:30 p.m. and conclude the invitational at 7:30 p.m. against Incarnate Word, which will include postgame autographs of schedule posters at the conclusion of the contest. Throughout the Texan Invitational there will be Tarleton State Volleyball shirts for sale while supplies last with all proceeds going towards relief of the wildfires occurring in Maui.

TEXAN SOCCER looks to keep the positive energy rolling after a 1-1 tie against ULM and a 2-0 shutout against Texas A&M-Commerce in their first week of the 2023 campaign. They will remain on their home turf to host Nicholls on Friday at 7 p.m. They want nothing more than the fans to make some noise, so there will be free vuvuzelas for the first 100 fans in attendance to help enhance that. After a day of rest, the Texans will hit the road for their first road game of the 2023 season to take on Houston at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

TARLETON ATHLETICS and Tarleton State University will host a special groundbreaking ceremony regarding the new event center on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Tarleton will break ground on the $110 million Event Center (Sloan and Saint Felix), with construction beginning next spring and move-in planned the following year. In addition to NCAA Division I basketball facilities, the two-story multipurpose arena will sport room for academic symposiums, conferences, conventions, concerts, convocations and commencements. Stephenville will also enjoy increased revenue from events.

Admission to all Tarleton State Women's Soccer games are free to all fans. Student tickets are available for free to Tarleton students from any campus with a valid university ID number but must be ordered in advance at TarletonSports.com/tickets.
