The week is fairly light in Stephenville, but Saturday brings all the action with Texan Volleyball in Wisdom Gym and Soccer closing out their regular season.
 
TARLETON STATE SOCCER clinched their first WAC Tournament berth in the program's third year of existence with a 1-0 shutout victory over Southern Utah on Sunday. The Texans have one more chance to shine in Stephenville this season as they host Abilene Christian at 7 p.m. Saturday evening. This will be Senior Day, as four of Texan Soccer's seniors will be honored prior to kickoff. The WAC Tournament is slated to begin in Abilene on Nov. 3 with the time and opponent for Tarleton State's quarterfinal matchup to be announced at the conclusion of the conference's regular season play.
 
TARLETON STATE VOLLEYBALL picked up their first conference victory of the 2024 season last week, taking down California Baptist on their home court in a five-set thriller. The Texans have a light week, with their lone contest being at home on Saturday against Utah Tech at 1 p.m. This will be a Pink Out game, with free pink pom-poms given to early arriving fans. These will be branded with the Susan G. Comen logo, as the day is dedicated towards breast cancer awareness and digging for a cure. During the contest, a hardworking group will be recognized for their efforts in raising money towards this foundation and continuing the battle against cancer. Their next game is set for Oct. 28 to try and split the regular season with Abilene Christian.
 
TEXAN FOOTBALL sits atop of the United Athletic Conference with their undefeated record in conference play and looks to keep it that way in Tennessee when they take on Austin Peay. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. this Saturday. The Texans will return home Nov. 2 to host Eastern Kentucky for their Military Appreciation game, with free Corps of Cadets rally towels given to early arriving fans.
 
TEXAN TENNIS looks to close out their fall schedule on a high note as they compete in the WAC Fall Tennis Invitational in Abilene. The invite is set to begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday. Texan Tennis has not released their spring schedule yet, but will have a few months of rest before those matches begin.
 
TARLETON STATE WOMEN'S GOLF continues play at The Clash at Boulder Creek in Nevada on Monday and will conclude the competition on Tuesday. The Texans will have a quick turnaround, heading to Mississippi Oct. 28-29 to compete in The Judson. This will be the final competition of the fall, with the next contest coming in March.
 
TEXAN MEN'S GOLF takes a trip down south, competing in the Monterrey Collegiate Classic in Mexico this Friday and Saturday. This is the final round of golf for the men this fall, with the spring season teeing off in February.
 
TARLETON SPORTS RADIO SHOW features Texan Football head coach, Todd Whitten, and Texan Volleyball head coach, Mary Schindler, weekly through November. The Todd Whitten Show, presented by Triple Crown Ford, will be hosted every Thursday in the lobby of Triple Crown Ford, located at 2975 W. Washington St. in Stephenville from 12-12:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided to those in attendance to all Todd Whitten Shows. The Mary Schindler Show, presented by Peacock's Restaurant and Santo Propane, will be hosted every Monday at the Tarleton Student Center from 12-12:30 p.m. The shows will air on the flagship of Tarleton State Athletics, KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville, Texas, and worldwide at TarletonSports.com/Watch.
