Campus itself is less crowded with students wrapping up the 2024 fall semester, but Wisdom Gym looks to draw fans for both Texan Basketball teams this week.

TEXAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL gets things started for Tarleton State Athletics, tipping off against New Mexico State at 11 a.m. Monday morning. This is known as Education Day 2.0, as it is the second, and final, time this season hundreds of elementary students will fill the stands to cheer on the Texans. Chamberlin Elementary has brought their students to many events over the last couple years, but this is the first time they will be in Wisdom Gym for a Women's Basketball game. Following that game, the Texans will hit the road to Arkansas State for a battle at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The Texans will wrap up their week on Saturday at home, as they will be game one of a doubleheader with the men's team. They will host St. Mary's (TX) at 2 p.m. and early arriving fans will receive a free Texan mini hoop to use in their office, bedroom, classroom, etc. Whataburger has also graciously added more to what they already do with Texan Basketball, as all home games this week will be themed around Whataburger Holiday Hoops, with decorations throughout Wisdom Gym and giveaways set up in the lobby.

TEXAN MEN'S BASKETBALL is back in action after a week off, beginning on the road at UTEP on Monday night. Tip off is set for 8 p.m. in El Paso. They will remain on the road to take on a member of the Big 12, Oklahoma State, on Wednesday at 7 p.m. This will be the final Power Four opponent the Texans face during the regular season and will be aired on ESPN+. The Texans conclude the week in Wisdom Gym, as they are game two of Saturday's doubleheader with the women's team and will host Howard Payne. The time is set for 4 p.m. but could vary depending the duration of the women's game. Texan Men's Basketball has the same themes as the women on Saturday, as there will be Texan mini hoops given to early arriving fans and the Whataburger Holiday Hoops theme throughout Wisdom Gym.
