Both basketball squads return to Wisdom Gym after a couple weeks on the road while Texan Football travels up north to continue their run in the FCS Playoffs after a dominant debut.

TEXAN FOOTBALL continues their season as they advance to round two of the FCS Playoffs after a 43-29 victory over Drake. The offense was clicking on all cylinders, as Victor Gabalis threw for over 300 yards and a couple of touchdowns, with both scoring throws and 190 of those yards going to Darius Cooper. Kayvon Britten made sure it wasn't just the passing game on display, as he rushed for 146 yards and two scores of his own as well. After making history yet again and grabbing their first FCS Playoffs win in program history, their postseason run continues in Vermillion, South Dakota. The Texans will take on No. 4 seed South Dakota on Saturday at 2 p.m. to see who can advance to the quarterfinals. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+.

TEXAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL went 2-1 last week, taking down Houston Christian and splitting their record at the Big Easy Classic in New Orleans, beating Delaware and falling to Nicholls. The Texans host Texas State this Wednesday at 7 p.m. In honor of December and the holiday season beginning, there will be Texan ornaments given out to early arriving fans, as well as a Toys for Tots drive, presented by Surepoint. All donations will go towards the Optimist Club in Stephenville and any fan that donates a new, unwrapped toy will receive a free general admission ticket to the game. The Texans remain in Stephenville the remainder of the week, hosting LeTourneau at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The excitement will continue after the final buzzer, as the Texans will stick around to sign postgame autographs for fans. Their next home game will be Dec. 16 against New Mexico State to host their second Education Day of the season with Chamberlin Elementary filling the stands.

TEXAN MEN'S BASKETBALL returns to Wisdom Gym for the first time since Nov. 14 to host Dallas Christian on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Even though snow doesn't find this part of Texas often, the holiday spirit will still begin, as Texan snow globes will be given away to early arriving fans. There will also be a Toys for Tots drive, presented by Surepoint, in which all fans that bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate will receive a free general admission ticket to the game. All donations will go towards the Optimist Club in Stephenville. The Texans will get back on the road later in the week, travelling to Orlando to take on UCF on Sunday at 12 p.m. The next home game for the Texans will be Dec. 21 when they share the date with the Women's Basketball team in a doubleheader and take on Howard Payne, in which Texan mini hoops will be given away.

TEXAN TRACK & FIELD begins their indoor season this week, travelling to Pittsburg, Kansas, to compete at the Boo Rogers Combined Events on Friday and Saturday. They will also compete in the Crimson & Gold Invitational on Saturday. The Texans get a lengthy break following this, as their next competition will not be until Jan. 17 when they travel to Lubbock for the Corky Classic.

TARLETON SPORTS RADIO SHOW features Texan Football head coach, Todd Whitten, for The Todd Whitten Show, presented by Triple Crown Ford. The show will be hosted Thursday in the lobby of Triple Crown Ford, located at 2975 W. Washington St. in Stephenville from 12-12:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided to those in attendance to the Todd Whitten Show. The Bill Brock and Billy Gillispie Shows are amongst us and will air Tuesdays live from BJ's Restaurant & Bar. The Bill Brock Show will run from 6-6:30 p.m. and the Billy Gillispie Show will follow from 6:30-7 p.m. BJ's Restaurant & Bar will have food and drink specials to accompany the weekly shows. The shows will air on the flagship of Tarleton State Athletics, KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville, Texas, and worldwide at TarletonSports.com/Watch. The Bill Brock and Billy Gillispie Shows will not be hosted this week and will resume Dec. 10.
