The community has shown out for the Texan Basketball programs that have yet to fall in Wisdom Gym against conference foes, but now it's time for the students to make their presence known with the start of the new semester.
TEXAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL handed Southern Utah and Utah Tech a Code Purple of their own, going undefeated in Wisdom Gym last week to move to 2-1 to begin conference play. The Texans hit the road to begin this week, traveling to California Baptist to take on the Lancers at 1 p.m. on Thursday. They will return to Wisdom Gym on Saturday to take on Grand Canyon at 7 p.m. Wisdom Gym will look last the snow on the ground last week, as it will be the White Out Wisdom game, with free t-shirts for fans while supplies last. Their next game will be Jan. 23 when they host the I-20 rival, Abilene Christian.
TEXAN MEN'S BASKETBALL split their road record last week, defeating Southern Utah and falling in a close battle to Utah Tech. The Texans are 2-1 in conference play and look to improve that this week, beginning against California Baptist in Wisdom Gym at 7 p.m. on Thursday. In honor of the start of the 2025 Spring semester, the Texans look to give a warm welcome to the Texan students and remind them of the excitement within Wisdom Gym. The Texans will then travel to Grand Canyon to take on the Lopes at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The next home game for Texan Men's Basketball will be Jan. 30 as they look for redemption against Utah Tech during Military Appreciation Night, with free military themed rubber ducks given away to early arriving fans.
TEXAN TRACK & FIELD resumes their indoor season this week, traveling up to Lubbock to compete in the Corky Classic. The event is set to begin on Friday and conclude on Saturday. The Texans have a short break before going back up to Lubbock for the Stan Scott Invite & Multis Jan. 30-Feb. 1.
