STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The Western Athletic Conference recognized 50 Texans on Friday for their recent performance on their playing field and in the classroom, as the conference announced the Fall 2024 Academic All-WAC list.
 
The awards covered five sports that Tarleton State participates in – Football, Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, Women's Soccer and Volleyball.
 
Student-athletes who met the following conditions were eligible to earn Academic All-WAC honors:

1. Student-athletes who have completed one academic year at the member institution.
2. Student-athletes who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better.
3. Student-athletes who competed in 50 percent of the team's contests.

 
Freshmen and transfers from the fall sports may receive this award in the future, but since the criteria requires that the student-athlete must have completed one academic year at the member institution, they are not eligible until after the spring semester.
