Tarleton State, Southern Utah women’s basketball game Thursday remains as scheduled despite campus shutdown

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton Athletics announced Wednesday that the Texan Women's Basketball game against Southern Utah on Thursday will remain as scheduled following Tarleton State University's announcement of a campus shutdown.

The university issued a Code Purple for Thursday due to impending inclement weather, closing campus. The university and Tarleton Athletics will take measures to make the area as safe as possible for fans traveling to and from the game.

The game will tip off at 7 p.m. at Wisdom Gym on Thursday, featuring Tarleton State and Southern Utah. It is Law Enforcement Appreciation Night, and any fan with a valid law enforcement ID will receive a free general admission ticket, a discounted meal deal at $5, and in-game recognition.

The 9-7 Texans will play their conference home opener against the Thunderbirds. Tarleton State swept the season series against Southern Utah last year.

Tickets for Thursday's game start at $10.
