Tarleton State Women’s Golf releases 2026 Spring Slate

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State Women's Golf head coach Isabel Jimenez released the 2026 Women's Golf spring schedule on Tuesday afternoon.

After a successful fall season and battling injuries, the Texans are awaiting their spring season anxiously. The Texans placed in the top six in three of their five events in the fall season. Five different Texans earned a top 20 finish with Gina Chen the lone Texan to place in the top 10. Lou Deltombe led the way with three individual top 20 performances.

"We're excited for the spring schedule ahead and ready to make a statement next season," said coach Jimenez. "This schedule gives us opportunities to compete against strong fields, and we're excited to see what we can do together."

The Texans will open the spring at the Texas State Invitational on Feb. 2. The Texans will attend the two-day event at Landa Park Golf Course for the second time in the last three years. The Purple and White finished tied for fifth in 2024, their last appearance in the event. After a two-week break, the Texans will head to The Woodlands, Tex. for the Texas Golf Throwdown hosted by Sam Houston. It will be the first time that the Texans head to Sam Houston in the spring after spending the last four seasons competing in their fall invitational.

For the first time in program history, the Texans will head outside the contiguous 48 US States to compete. Tarleton State will open March in Humacao, Puerto Rico at the Puerto Rico Shootout. Senior Texan Darianys Guzman will get to play at home for the first time in her collegiate career. The three-day event will be hosted by Ball State and take place at Palmas Del Mar.

On the very next week after returning to Texas, the Purple and White will make their annual trip to Sugar Land, Tex. for the Riverbend Intercollegiate. It will mark the fifth consecutive season the Texans played in the event hosted by Houston Christian. Tarleton State will then close out the month of March at the Georgia State Intercollegiate on March 30-31. The two-day event in Johns Creek, Ga. at the Rivermont Golf Club will round out the Texans regular season slate.

The Texans will look to repeat both their team and individual title crowns at the 2026 WAC Championship. For the first time since the Texans joined the WAC and the second time in conference history, the tournament will be held in the Dallas area in McKinney, Tex. at the Clubs of Stonebridge. The squads will play one round a day starting on April 20th and the final round concluding on April 22nd.

Tarleton State would advance to their second-consecutive NCAA Regional with a WAC Tournament Championship. The NCAA Regionals will be selected on April 29th, with the first round slated to start on May 11th.

Golf season is right around the corner after the holiday season. The Texan program is anxious to get back out on the course and defend their title and look to make history once again at the WAC Championship and potential NCAA Regional Championships as well.
