STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State Women's Golf is set to continue their fall campaign as they travel to the Yellowstone Intercollegiate at Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, Mont. for their second tournament of the fall starting on Monday morning.

The back-to-back WAC Champions and two-time NCAA Regional qualifying Texans will be heading up to Montana for the 54-hole, two-day, three-round event, which will begin on Monday with a pair of 18-hole rounds followed by an 18-hole final round on Tuesday. The field features 11 teams, with Tarleton State serving again as the only UAC team competing in the invitational. Included in the match will also be Weber State, Idaho State, California State, Creighton, Southern Utah, California Baptist, Montana State, North Dakota State, North Dakota and Montana. The Texans are the only team that qualified for the 2026 NCAA Regional Championships last season in the field. Live scoring will be provided by Clippd.
 
Filippa Mortensen was named UAC Women's Golfer of the Week for her Texan-leading performance after the Texans season opener at the Tulane Classic two weeks ago. Mortensen  shined in her Tarleton State and collegiate debut, tying for 14th overall with a six-under, 222. She carded a 73 in Round 2, her lowest round of the event. The freshman was the top finishing Texan.
 
The Texans posted their individual top 20 finishes in the New Orleans tournament held at TPC Louisiana. Following behind the freshman was returner Gina Chen placing 17th with a 223 and transfer Magda Domine, tying for 20th overall with a 224. The three Texans all turned in best cards of under 75. 

Natalia Fiel Ros placed 46th overall shooting a ten-over par, 234. Luchi Quiroga tied for 56th overall with Yanin Kongthawornwong each shooting a 240, 24-over par. Kongthawornwong competing as an individual, record five birdies with a pair of birdies in each her first and third rounds. 

Tarleton's lineup for the upcoming Montana match will feature all six golfers. Mortensen will be competing out of the top slot for the Texans for the first time this season. She is followed by Chen, Domine, Fiel Ros and Quiroga. Kongthawornwong will be competing as an individual for the Texans. 
 
Tarleton State will not have much of a break before their next event of the fall. After the conclusion of the Yellowstone Intercollegiate on Tuesday, the Texans will be back in action in just five days on Sept. 28 at the Powercat Invitational hosted by Kansas State. The Purple and White will return to Manhattan, Kan. for the second-consecutive season.
