STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Men's Basketball has announced four camps over the weekend of August 23-24 for middle school and high school basketball players.
 
The Texans will host four camps across two days geared towards the skill development of current middle school and high school basketball players. The camps will be held in Wisdom Gym on the second to last weekend in August.
 
Both camps on Saturday, Aug. 23 and the first camp on Sunday, Aug. 24 are open to all high school aged players in grades 9-12. Each individual camp will include quality instruction from current Tarleton State Texan players and coaches. The campers will be put through a series of skill development drills and be taught drills for them to go through on their own outside of camp to develop their skills further. Also, part of the camp will include live scrimmages against the other campers to help develop live-game skills.
 
The fourth and final camp of the weekend will be for current middle schoolers in grades six to eighth. This camp will also be led by current Texan players and staff with the idea of helping them learn what it takes to be a future Texan. The instructors will help each camper go through drills and provide instruction and help in a group and individual setting. The camp will also include a portion of time for the campers to scrimmage against one another and get instruction and tips on how to improve their live game skills as well.
 
Each camp costs 100 bucks and spans three and a half hours. Two of the high school camps will be from 10:30 am to 1 pm on Saturday and Sunday morning and the other is on Saturday afternoon from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. The middle school camp will be on Sunday afternoon from 2:30 pm to 6 pm.
