TEXAN FOOTBALL continues to shine this season, now one of two 4-0 teams across all of college football. The Texans will have their work cut out for them this Saturday, taking on a historically strong Chattanooga program, with the game set for Saturday at 6 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. There will be 1,000 free T-shirts given away at the start of the game to early arriving fans, plus the President's Circle Fund will be awarding $2,500 in scholarships and $500 in Texan Bucks to 10 lucky students. There will be five $500 giveaways to students in scholarships throughout the game, and there will be a contest announced by the Tarleton Students social media channels to detail five $100 giveaways of Texan Bucks. Starting this week, Tarleton State Athletics is now encouraging Texan students to use Corq to attend games and events for free. This change has been made to provide a universal system at Tarleton State for students to attend games and events on campus for free! Simply open the Corq app and sign in, tap your event pass, select "Add to Digital Wallet," and when you arrive at the event, simply open your Digital Wallet and scan. Previously claimed tickets will be honored, but only one ticket per student account will be accepted.

TEXAN MEN'S GOLF has two tournaments this week to start its fall campaign, playing Monday-Tuesday at Utah's The Wohali, then Friday-Saturday at New Mexico's William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The first event marks the Texans' first tournament of the season and a return to competition after recording one of the best team performances in program history in a conference event. Tarleton State placed fourth overall at the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championship last April, posting a team score of 889 at Chaparral Pines in Payson, Arizona. Head coach Chance Cain enters his fourth season at the helm of the Texans, returning to his old stomping grounds. Cain spent six years as an assistant coach at Utah before joining Tarleton State, helping lead the Utes to their first NCAA postseason appearance in 29 years. He also led multiple players to top-200 national rankings during his six seasons on the coaching staff. The Texans' lineup includes freshmen Alvaro Pastor Roman and Maximilian Bjornstrom, sophomores Luis Buech and Kellen Young and junior Juan Ballester.
