WEEK AT A GLANCE: Tarleton State Men’s Basketball hosts ACU Saturday on ‘Dollar Beer, Dollar Dog Day’

Following last year's successful "$1 Beer, $1 Hot Dog" promotional debut for Tarleton State Men's Basketball's home game against Abilene Christian, the Texans are running it back. For the Texans' game against ACU on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the EECU Center, Tarleton State will offer select beer for $1 at the game, along with $1 hot dogs.

TEXAN MEN'S BASKETBALL will have a pair of games this week, the first on Wednesday at UT Arlington at 7 p.m. at the College Park Center. The Texans defeated the Mavericks 69-63 on Dec. 29 in Arlington, the Western Athletic Conference opener, as Cam McDowell led all scorers with 23 points (8-16 FG, 3-6 3PT) off the bench. On Saturday at 4 p.m., the Texans will host rival Abilene Christian at the EECU Center. These two squared off in Stephenville on Jan. 8, an 84-80 contest that went to ACU. Tarleton State is 8-2 at home this season. Also at Saturday's game, Tarleton State Baseball and Softball will be in attendance pregame to sign posters for fans in advance of their seasons starting soon.

TEXAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL will wrap up its three-game homestand on Wednesday against UT Arlington at 7 p.m. It will be a "Hall Call" for the game, as the Texans will storm the dorms the night before to rally Tarleton State students in attending. The Texans are 2-0 on the homestand with wins over Southern Utah and Utah Tech. Tarleton State also beat UTA in the WAC opener, 66-57 at the EECU Center. On Saturday, the Texans will be in Abilene for the fourth time this season, to take on the Wildcats at 1 p.m. Tarleton State played twice in Abilene in December in the ACU Christmas Classic, then fell to ACU on the road 64-59 on Jan. 8.

TEXAN TENNIS will host its first match of the season on Friday against Weatherford College at 11 a.m. This is the start of an eight-match homestand for Tarleton State, who won't play on the road again until Feb. 21. The Texans narrowly lost to Wyoming, 4-3, in their season opener on Thursday in Norman, followed by a 4-0 defeat to No. 6 ranked Oklahoma on the road. Freshmen Aya Ishii and Marissa Minetti both picked up wins in their spring collegiate debut. Ximena Morales collected her first singles win of the season on Court 4 against Wyoming, and Emma Persson and Clara Sobius had their first doubles win of 2026 as a duo.

TEXAN TRACK AND FIELD will follow up an impressive first meet of 2026 by attending two meets on Friday and a meet on Saturday. First they will attend the Stan Scott Invite, hosted by Texas Tech, and the JD Martin Invitational, hosted by Oklahoma, on Friday. On Saturday, they'll attend the Ted Nelson Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M. Last week at Texas Tech, the Texans broke three school records, two national records and set 23 top-10 program best marks. Malak Rashwan broke her own score record as well as the Egyptian National Record in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.46 seconds. Newcomer Emma Holmes set the new school record in the 400 meters in her Texan debut. The Memphis transfer crossed in 55.18 seconds to break Amandine Estival's record from last year.

THE BILL BROCK SHOW AND BILLY GILLISPIE SHOW will be at The Purple Goat on Monday from 6-7 p.m., with regular Monday weekly shows through the rest of the season (except March 9). The Bill Brock Show, presented by Bruner Auto, will air from 6-6:30 p.m., while the Billy Gillispie Show will air immediately after, from 6:30-7 p.m. The weekly radio shows will air on the flagship station of Tarleton State Athletics, KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville, Texas, and worldwide at TarletonSports.com/Watch.
