STEP RIGHT UP
The TexAnns are set to host Abilene Christian for the final regular season home game at Wisdom Gym for Tarleton. The Wildcats come into Stephenville with a 11-13 record, but an 8-4 LSC South mark. ACU has won its last four games, while the TexAnns are winner of their last 12 straight. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. and the gym is expected to be packed for the home finale of the 2010-11 regular season.
MAKING HISTORY
The TexAnns clinched the Lone Star Conference South title with their win over the Javelinas on Feb. 19. This marks the first title in the program's history. Tarleton has yet to lose a South Division game this season.
With the win, the TexAnns also clinched a spot in the LSC tournament. It marks the eighth straight season that Tarleton will be postseason-bound.

Shelby Adamson, who averages 16.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Junior
Morgan Stehling is chipping in 9.9 points per game, while senior

Freshman
Kiara Wright is Tarleton's leading rebounder with 7.5 boards a game, with Benford following closely with 6.2 boards a game. Senior
Sonya Sundberg is second on the team with 3.7 assists per game.

Tarleton is averaging .434 from the floor, .327 from the three-point arc and .685 from the charity stripe. In LSC play, the TexAnns are shooting .454 from the floor, .339 from deep, and .686 from the line.
SHOOTING DEFENSE
The TexAnns are holding opponents to .379 from the field, .318 from behind the arc and .636 from the line.
OUTING THE OPPONENTS
Tarleton is outscoring foes 73.9 to 59.0 and outrebounding them 37.3 to 34.9 this season.
NOW ON SPECIAL
The TexAnns are 12-0 in the LSC South Division this year. With that, this year's team has broken the record for most conference wins in school history, previously set in '05-06 when Hearne's team went 11-3.
VETERAN LEADERSHIP
Tarleton junior guard
Shelby Adamson was named LSC Defensive Player of the Week last week for the third time this season.
Adamson played a major role in the TexAnns' two win last week, guarding both Incarnate Word and Eastern New Mexico's dangerous point guards. Adamson held the two players to a combined 1-for-12 in the two games, while helping Tarleton hold opponents to just 36.6 percent from the field and 60 points on average. She also chipped in 10.5 points per game and eight assists over the two-game stretch. Her defensive prowess is a big reason the TexAnns are 20-2 on the year.
She joins Wright as a three-time POW, while
Kelsey Benford has been named twice this season.
IN THE CONFERENCE
The TexAnns are No. 2 in the Lone Star Conference in scoring defense (59.0) behind Northeastern State (54.4). The TexAnns are No. 1 in the LSC in scoring margin (+14.9) and are No. 3 in the league in scoring offense (73.9) behind Central Oklahoma (75.2).
Tarleton is No. 1 in turnover margin (+5.42) after being No. 1 with 10.0 steals per game. The TexAnns are No. 3 in assist/turnover ratio (0.9).
The TexAnns are also No. 1 in offensive rebound percentage (.378), and No. 5 in blocks (3.3).
INDIVIDUALS IN THE LSC
Shelby Adamson is No. 7 in the Lone Star Conference in scoring (16.5) while
Kiara Wright is tied at No. 8 in rebounding (7.5) and
Kelsey Benford is tied at No. 17 (6.2).
Adamson is tied at No. 2 in steals per game (2.3) and No. 6 in assists (3.8), while
Sonya Sundberg is No. 1 in assist/turnover ratio (2.0) and No. 7 in assists (3.7). Benford is also No. 4 in blocks per game (1.6).
CROWDED AT HOME
The TexAnns lead the league in home attendance average. Tarleton is averaging 1,688 fans at home in its 13 home games this season. Tarleton has also played in front of more fans than anyone else in the LSC – 26,927.
NOW THAT'S A LOT OF POINTS
The 97 points scored in Tarleton's 97-58 win over Eastern New Mexico earlier this season is the most points scored on a Lone Star Conference team since Tarleton won 97-80 over Texas A&M-Commerce on Feb. 23, 2002 in Stephenville.
The 97 points is also the highest total ever scored on an LSC team by the TexAnns since Tarleton joined the league in 1994-95.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Abilene Christian is 11-13 overall this season and 8-4 in LSC South Division action. They are 5-7 overall on the road, but 4-2 on the road in the conference. ACU has also won its last four games.
Overall, the Wildcats are shooting 42.6 percent from the floor, 33.8 percent from behind the arc, and 63.4 percent from the free throw line. They average 71.4 points per game, compared to opponents' 71.8 points per game. ACU has a -2.1 turnover ratio and a +3.1 rebounding ratio.
The freshman Mack Lankford leads the team with 18.0 points per game to go along with 4.8 rebounds per game. Autumn Whitaker is adding 12.6 points each contest, while Kelsey Smith chips in 12.6 points and 8.3 boards each game.
ACU IN THE LSC
The Wildcats are No. 9 in scoring margin (-0.4), No. 4 in scoring offense (71.4), but only No. 14 in scoring defense (71.8).
ACU does rank towards the top in field goal percentage (No. 4), three-point percentage (No. 4), and rebounding margin (No. 4). They are also second in the LSC in blocks (3.6).
Lankford is the fourth leading scorer in the conference with 18.0 points per game, while Whitaker and Smith are tied at No. 17. Smith is also No. 5 in the LSC in rebounds (8.3) and No. 2 in blocks (1.8).

ACU leads the all-time series 27-11 in the 21-year history of the series. Tarleton has won the most recent battle, taking a 75-65 victory in Abilene.
