STEPHENVILLE - The TexAnn tennis team defeated East Central 7-2 on Friday and followed that up with a 7-2 victory over Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday for Senior Day.

Adriana Jaskova and
Mariana Freitas were honored before the match Saturday as fans and players enjoyed a reflective moment on the past few years of Tarleton tennis.
The TexAnns were all business though, routing bot the Lady Tigers on Friday and the Savage Storm on Saturday.
Against East Central, Tarleton's No. 1 and No. 2 doubles both won their matches to start the day. The duos of

Adriana Jaskova/
Melanie Barnes (8-5) were victorious over the Lady Tigers' pairings.
In singles play, No. 1-4, and No. 6 won their matches against ECU as Tarleton cruised to an easy 7-2 overall victory.
Perez won 6-2, 6-1; Jaskova won 6-3, 6-0; Freitas won 6-4, 6-1; Barnes won 6-0, 6-1; and
Silvia Nieva won 6-1, 6-2.
The TexAnns carried over their momentum into Saturday and added to their advantage with the emotional lift of Senior Day.
Perez/Frietas and Jaskova/Barnes won their doubles matches once again to get the TexAnns off to a fast start.
Then exactly like Friday, Tarleton's No. 1-4 players and No. 6 player were victorious.
Perez won her No.1 singles match (6-1,6-1), while Jaskova won her No. 2 singles match (6-0,6-2). Frietas came out on top in No.3 singles action (6-2, 6-1) and Barnes defeated her opponent (6-0, 6-2). Nieva rounded out the day with a 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 victory.
The TexAnns improve their record to 7-5 and head into their next match at Central Oklahoma on April 6 with a two-match win streak.
