STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton State hits the road for the first time this season as they look to extend its winning streak to four with a Tuesday night game in Tahlequah, OK against MIAA power perennially ranked, Northeastern State.

LAST TIME OUT
The TexAnns improved to 3-0 with a 95-83 win over the Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps to cap off a 2-0 run through the Whataburger TexAnn Tip-Off Classic.
Brianna Bledsoe had a career night against LCU to carry the TexAnns to victory. The senior recorded her first collegiate double-double with a career-high 29 points and 10 rebounds.
Kiara Wright added 16 points and eight rebounds despite being limited to just 20 minutes due to foul trouble.
SERIES HISTORY
The TexAnns and Riverhawks have met 16 times since 1998 with Tarleton winning just six of the 16 meetings. The TexAnns are 0-6 all-time in Tahlequah and are 4-9 against the Riverhawks under head coach Ronnie Hearne.
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Kiara Wright was named the MVP of the Whataburger TexAnn Tip-Off Classic at Tarleton State last weekend by averaging 19.0 points and 11.0 rebounds against Fort Lewis and Lubbock Christian. Kathy Thomas and
Brianna Bledsoe were also named to the All-Tournament team.
EYEING THE TOP 10 IN TARLETON SCORING
Kiara Wright continues to climb up Tarleton's all-time scoring list with 1,140 in her career. She is currently No. 14 on the all-time list with several TexAnn greats standing between her and the top 10: JoAnne Jones (1148), Becky Bates (1157), Patti Phillips (1184) and Debra Howard (1185).
SCOUTING THE RIVERHAWKS
Northeastern State has had its share of defensive struggles early - allowing 71.8 points per game through the first four games compared to the 54.3 points per game they allowed last season. Despite losing its two highest-scoring seniors from last year - Taylor Lewis (16.5) and Tosha Tyler (11.8), Northeastern State has been averaging just over 60 points per game with 10.0 points per game from Fontana Tate and Che'Ron Lewis.
UP NEXT FOR THE TEXANNS
Tarleton will stay on the road as they visit Kitty Magee Arena in Denton to take part in the 2013 Marriott Champions Circle Pioneer Premiere at Texas Woman's University. Tarleton will play Central Oklahoma at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and finish it out against Regis (CO) at 12 p.m. Sunday. The game can be heard on KSTV 93.1 FM in Stephenville.
