The TexAnns dominated the paint against the Javelinas, outscoring them 48-12 and outrebounding them 48-35.

SERIES HISTORY
Tarleton and Midwestern State have met 56 times and MSU owns the all-time series 32-24. The TexAnns and Mustangs have been regular opponents since their first meeting on Jan. 25, 1980 when the TexAnns won the series opener 74-66 in Stephenville. Tarleton won the first four games played against MSU and five of the first six before Midwestern took control of the series from 1987 to 2005. On Dec. 20, 2005, Tarleton won 55-52 in Wichita Falls to end their losing streak and start one of their own - taking the next 13 games through 2012 - to compile a 14-game winning streak against MSU.

GOING FOR 1000-1000
Kiara Wright enters her senior season as the school's all-time NCAA leader in rebounding with 998 in her career, which has her at No. 3 on the school's all-time list behind Tarleton's NAIA leaders. With two more rebounds, Wright will become the third TexAnn in school history with 1,000 in her career - joining Kathy Butler (1,065) and Jennifer Washington (1,680).

TOPS IN THE NATION
The reigning LSC Players of the Week have also moved into the top spot in the nation in their respective statistical categories. Kiara Wright now leads the nation in field goal percentage at 67.9 percent on 93-137 shooting while newcomer, Kathy Thomas, leads the nation in 3-point percentage at 59.1 percent on 26-44 shooting. As a team, Tarleton is currently in the nation's top five in four statistical categories.

PUSHING THE STREAK TO NINE
Tarleton has now won nine games in a row, making it the fifth longest winning streak since 1980 and third longest winning streak of the NCAA era. This is the third time since 1980 the TexAnns have won nine games in a row - the last time coming in the 1991-92 season and the first one in 1980.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS
After opening the season ranked at the top of the Lone Star Conference preseason poll and in the national top 25 poll, Midwestern State has dropped the first two league games against A&M-Commerce and West Texas A&M before picking up their first LSC win against Eastern New Mexico Saturday. For the season, Midwestern State has three players averaging double figures but only Andrea Carter is averaging double digits in LSC play (13.8).

BATTLE OF THE SECOND HALF
