SERIES HISTORY
This is the 39th all-time meeting between West Texas A&M and Tarleton with the Lady Buffs holding the advantage 30-8, after splitting the regular season meetings. The teams never met prior to Tarleton's induction into the NCAA in 1994 and WT took the first 14 games of the season before the TexAnns claimed back-to-back wins in the 2002 season. Tarleton won consecutive games again in 2004 and 2006. Tarleton got three more wins over WT in 2010-12 with the last win of the series for Tarleton coming Jan. 7, 2012 in Stephenville. In the most recent meeting, Tarleton handed WT its only LSC loss of the season with a 71-69 win in Stephenville on Feb. 19.

TARLETON'S CHAMPIONSHIP GAME HISTORY
This is the second-ever LSC Tournament Championship game in school history for the TexAnns. The last time they played in the tournament final, they defeated No. 4-seed Incarnate Word 48-44 to claim the 2012 LSC title.

TARLETON VS WT IN THE TOURNAMENT
This is the second time Tarleton and West Texas A&M have met in the LSC Tournament after WT topped the TexAnns 83-61 in Ronnie Hearne's first Tarleton tournament appearance in 2004.

BATTLE OF THE 3-POINT PERIMETER
The championship game features the conference's best 3-point offense - West Texas A&M - against the leagues best 3-point defense - Tarleton State. The Lady Buffs lead the league in 3-pointers made (220), 3-point percentage (.408) and 3-pointers per game (7.9) while the TexAnns are the LSC's best defenders against the long ball (21.5 percent).

PROTECTING THE BALL
In the two games between TSU and WT this season, the team who has most protected the ball has been the victor. In Canyon, Tarleton committed 21 turnovers that led to 30 WT points and when WT visited Stephenville, the Lady Buffs committed 18 to Tarleton's 8 and the TexAnns won the points off turnovers margin 21-10.

SCOUTING THE LADY BUFFS
West Texas A&M has put together a dominant season under first-year head coach Mark Kellogg. The Lady Buffs started the season 24-1, with their only loss coming on the road at then-No. 3 Emporia State, heading into their annual visit to Stephenville to face the TexAnns. Tarleton handed WT its only loss of conference play. The post game of the LSC's fourth (Devin Griffin) and seventh (Chontiquah White) leading scorers and the 3-point shooting, led by senior Casey Land, have West Texas A&M as the conference's top offense this season at 81.7 points per game.

UP NEXT FOR THE TEXANNS
