THE SERIES
The Tarleton State-Midwestern State series is the deepest in the history of TexAnn basketball. The teams have played each other 58 times, which is the most for Tarleton against any of their senior-college opponents. Tarleton trails the series 26-32, but the majority of MSU's wins came from 1987-2005 when the Mustangs won 27 of 32 meetings but Tarleton has been in com- plete control over the past decade by winning 16 of the last 20 since 2005.

DECADE OF DOMINANCE
Since the 2005-06 season, Tarleton State has turned the series against Midwestern State upside down. The TexAnns have won 17 of the last 21 meetings, including 14 straight from 2005-2012.

THE OPPONENT
It has been a start for the record books for the Midwestern State Mustangs. After the first 14 games of the season, MSU has lost only one game - to then-No. 7 Emporia State 51-62 - and since reeled off 12 straight wins, including a 77-64 victory over No. 3 West Texas A&M last week. The Mustangs have not been away from the confines of D.L. Ligon very often this season, boasting a home-friendly schedule of 11 home games over the first 17 games of the season. After falling to Tarleton State last month, the Mustangs dropped its second straight game in the next game but have rebounded to win three straight entering Wednesday's game.

TARLETON IN THE LSC
Tarleton State has developed into one of the premier basketball programs in the nation, as well as within the Lone Star Conference. The TexAnns earned their first league championship in 2012 and reached the finals of the LSC Championship Tournament for the second time in three years last season. Since joining the LSC as an NCAA institution in 1994, the TexAnns have a record of 167-142 against conference foes, including five seasons - four consecutive - of over 10 conference wins.

MILESTONE WATCH
•With 227 career assists, Morgan Ashmore is currently all alone for 12th all-time. She is 55 away from passing Jenn Doroga (281) for 11th all-time.
Kathy Thomas enters Wednesday's game with 74 career 3-pointers made. She will take sole possession of 14th all-time with her next triple, passing Tiffanie Bowen (74).
Meagan O'Dell is seven (7) points and Ikpeaku Iwobi is six (6) points from 300 in their respective careers.

WILSON AGAINST MSU
Midwestern State will forever be linked as a memorable foe for head coach Misty Wilson. It was against the Mustangs last month that the first-year head coach earned her first career win over a ranked opponent when the TexAnns defeated the No. 20 Mustangs 61-56.

NEEDING EXTRA TIME
Tarleton State is coming off its fourth overtime game of the season last Sunday. The TexAnns are 2-1 this season in games after an overtime contest.

WIPFF MAKING HER MARK
Over the last five games, Bailey Wipff has emerged as a top scorer for Tarleton. The sophomore transfer is averaging 13.2 points per game over the last five games while shooting .400 from the floor and .407 from downtown. She is also averaging 14.5 points per game in the three games following an overtime game this season.

• No. 24 in FT percentage (.758)
• No. 43 in 3-point percentage (.360)
