Tarleton State Women’s Golf returns back to Lone Star State for Veritex Bank Collegiate Monday-Tuesday

DALLAS – Following a trip out west that saw Louise Depadt earn her first top-place finish of her Texan career and help guide the Purple and White to a third-place team finish, Tarleton State is set to for another 54, this time at the Veritex Bank Collegiate Monday-Tuesday at the Trinity Forest Golf Course in Dallas.
 
Last time the Purple and White was in action it saw them earn another top-three finish this season, this time at the Fresno State Classic hosted by Fresno State. Depadt led the Texans once again shooting -5 (211, 70-71-70). Lou Deltombe followed close behind once again as she finished sixth overall turning in a score of +3 (219, 76-75-68).
 
Darianys Guzman and Elle Fox both clinched top-30 finishes. Guzman shot +18 (234, 79-78-77) as she finished 26th followed by Fox who finished tied for 30th shooting +20 (236, 84-78-74). Rebeca Fernandez rounded things out for the Texans finishing just outside the top-30 shooting +21 (237, 83-75-79) as she ended the classic tied for 33rd.

The two-day classic will feature 54 holes with 36 coming on Monday followed by the final 18 Tuesday. Tee times are set for an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start on Monday followed by another shotgun start on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
 
The lineup for the Purple and White will be as follows. Depadt will assume the No. 1 spot to with Deltimbe playing in the No. 2 spot. Guzman will assume the No. 3 hole. Fox will start in the No. 4 spot while Fernandez will round things out in the No. 5 hole.
 
The sixteen-team field includes Tarleton State, Boston College, East Texas A&M, Houston, Incarnate Word, Iowa, Lamar, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UCF, UTA and Yale. and host SMU.
 
The individual Champion will receive a tournament exemption into an Annika All Pro Tour event this summer.
 
The classic is set to take place at the Trinity Forest Golf Course in Dallas. The course is a par 72 with a yardage count of 6,478.
