STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State Women's Golf is set to open their spring slate at the Texas State Invitational at the Landa Park Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.
The two-day, 54-hole event opens on Monday with a pair of rounds. Both days will feature a shotgun start at 8:15 am. The 15-team event features the Texans as the only WAC team in the field. Among the 15 schools participating, 13 are from Texas with on from Illinois, Loyola-Chicago and one from Nebraska, Creighton.

"The spring season is here, and we are excited to start competing again," said head coach
Isabel Jimenez. "We have so much to look forward for this month of February. These next two events are going to give us the feedback we need to continue in our improvement path towards the post season."
The Texans will welcome back
Louise Depadt to the lineup after missing the final four tournaments of the fall season. Depadt will suit up in the top slot for the Texans. She is followed by
Lou Deltombe,
Rebeca Fernandez,
Gina Chen and
Natalia Fiel Ros. The Texans will be without
Darianys Guzman who missed the final event of the fall season due to injury.
In the fall slate, the Texans posted three top six team finishes across their five events. Individually, the Purple and White were led by Deltombe who placed in the top 20 in three events. Chen posted the highest individual finish placing seventh at the Kalispel Invitational. Chen led the way with four under-par rounds followed by Deltombe with three across the fall season.
It will mark the Texans first appearance in San Marcos since 2024. In the 2024 spring season, the Purple and White tied for fifth overall shooting a 70-over par, 922. Four Texans placed within the top 30 including current Texan

The Texans will have a week off after Texas State and will compete at the Texas Golf Throwdown hosted by Sam Houston. The two-day event will take place at the Woodlands Country Club, on Feb. 16-17.
