Tarleton State will be competing at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships June 10-13 in Eugene, Ore., at historic Hayward Field. Below is a complete breakdown of the three different events the Texans are in, when and where to watch and what they need to do to advance and earn a medal.
Â
Each event contains the top 12 athletes from the West First Rounds and 12 from the East First Rounds for 24 total. The Texan athletes will be competing individually for titles, but even with three athletes competing, Tarleton State will still compete for team points. The scoring is the same as the conference championship with the individual champion earning 10 points, second place earning eight, third receives six and the next four places receiving points in descending single increments with eighth place earning a single point. Therefore, the Texans can still score points to rank in the field nationally despite not having the equal number of athletes competing.
