Tarleton State University Athletics

Hancock was a three-year starter at free safety who helped lead the team to two TIAA championships.  He played in the 1984 Aztec Bowl and the 1986 Sunflower Bowl.  In 1985, he led the team with five interceptions and most tackles.  Hancock was a three-time first team all-conference selection.  he was named conference Defensive Player of the Weeek four times and Defensive Team MVP in 1985.
