Tarleton State University Athletics

Cantu played in 223 of 226 possible games at Tarleton. He helped the Texans to two TIAA titles and four consecutive NAIA District 8 playoff appearances. Cantu had a career batting average of .410, averaged over 60 RBI’s per season, and hit 58 career homeruns. He was 4-time All-TIAA, three-time All-NAIA All-District 8, and was first team All-American in 1991.
