Outstanding pitcher for the Texans the first two years after restarting the program. He threw a no-hitter at Tarleton’s first home game in 1988and repeated the first with another no-hitter in 1989. Agado struck out 75 in 72 innings in 1988 and still holds the team record for 11 strikeouts in a game. In 1989 he was 6-2 with a 2.98 ERA. When not pitching, Agado was an outstanding outfielder and hitter, hitting .333 in 1988 and in 1989 hit .402 with 21 doubles and 44 RBI’s. Agado was TIAA All-Conference in 1988 and player of the year in the TIAA in 1989.
