Tarleton State University Athletics

Quarterbacked the team that went 18-4-1 in his two seasons at Tarleton and won the TIAA title both years with perfect 6-0 conference records. He led the team to the Sunflower Bowl Championship in 1986 and to the NAIA Division II playoffs in 1987. In 1986 David was named 2^nd Team All-Conference and in 1987 was named All-TIAA quarterback and the conference Offensive Player of the Year.
