Tarleton State University Athletics Hall of Fame
Sherman Perry was a stand-out player for the Tarleton men’s basketball team from 1967-69. Perry was named team MVP and team captain in 1968, when he averaged 16.2 points per game. After his playing days, Perry went on to coach basketball. He has been involved in the St. John Baptist Church as a deacon, as well as serving on various committees and organizations. After 37 years affiliated with Tarleton, Perry continues to take an influential role in the university.
