Sassman was the team’s leading scorer as a junior and leading scorer as a senior on his way to being named the team’s Co-MVP. As a senior, he was also named the NAIA Division II Honorable Mention All-America. He is Tarleton’s career record holder in 3-point field goals made (264), attempted (621), and career free throw percentage (87.5%). He ranks fifth on Tarleton’s all-time career scoring list with 1,324 points and seventh on the career assists list with 277.
